Despite rumors that the New York Rangers may trade or buy out Jacob Trouba this summer, we do know where he will be playing next fall. Prime Video would have that. Several NHL stars, including the Rangers captain, will be featured in an upcoming untitled behind-the-scenes documentary series. Box to Box Films is working on the project in conjunction with The League and Prime Video.
“Our league will take this very seriously. According to a statement released Thursday by NHL chief content officer and senior executive vice president Steve Mayer, Box To Box has completely transformed the way Formula 1, golf, and tennis are told in modern times. “The Stanley Cup Playoffs are the pinnacle of sports, and we are thrilled to have the chance to show the world our superstars and the best season and postseason in sports, with the backing of the League, players, coaches, and owners.”
As they go for the Stanley Cup, the show will follow certain players both on and off the rink, promising exclusive information. Matthew Tkachuk of the Florida Panthers, Leon Draisaitl of the Edmonton Oilers, and captain Connor McDavid of the same team are three of the participants in the series. When their teams face off in Saturday’s first game of the Stanley Cup Final in Sunrise, Florida, the cameras will be shining on each of them.
