Tom Thibodeau, Coach of the Knicks: Derrick Rose’s Career Was “Inspiring”
Derrick Rose, a former point player for the New York Knicks, just announced his retirement from the NBA. One of this generation’s best point guards, Derrick Rose is sure to be inducted into the Hall of Fame whenever he becomes eligible.
In a statement, Tom Thibodeau, the head coach of the New York Knicks, said that Rose’s career would always be cherished. It was encouraging to see him develop and never give up. He is and will be a truly unique individual, according to Thibodeau. “I’ll treasure the many happy times we shared and am excited to see what comes next for him.
I’m sure it will be fantastic, and I hope he has the finest possible retirement.”
Over the course of his career, Rose averaged 17 points and five assists per game, and he accomplished a lot of it when Thibodeau was his head coach.
Together, for more than half of Rose’s NBA career, the two played for the Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, and New York Knicks. They were successful on all three of those teams, qualifying for the postseason on each one.
Despite his injuries, Rose is regarded by many as the biggest “what if” in NBA history, even if he managed to have a Hall of Fame career.
