The bronze monument, standing tall near the main entrance on the east plaza, celebrates not only Lewan’s football excellence but also his larger-than-life personality that helped define a generation of Titans football.
The statue unveiling ceremony took place on a sunny afternoon in Nashville, drawing a large crowd of fans, former teammates, Titans alumni, and team executives. Lewan himself was present, visibly emotional as the drape fell to reveal a larger-than-life likeness of him in full game-day stance—arms flexed, mouth open mid-roar, and hair flowing from beneath his helmet.
A Titan Through and Through
Drafted 11th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft out of Michigan, Taylor Lewan quickly became the bedrock of the Titans’ offensive line. Known for his elite pass protection skills, relentless attitude, and fierce loyalty to his team, Lewan was selected to three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2016 to 2018 and started in 100 games during his career with the franchise.
But beyond the accolades and physical dominance, Lewan brought something rare to the game—charisma. Whether it was his outrageous entrances, his no-holds-barred podcast “Bussin’ With the Boys,” or his public battles to defend his teammates, Lewan became the spiritual heartbeat of the Titans locker room.

Lewan was the linchpin in the offensive line that helped Derrick Henry rush for over 2,000 yards in 2020, earning Henry a place in NFL history. Henry, who attended the unveiling, called Lewan “the baddest left tackle I ever ran behind,” and added, “He made everyone around him better—not just on the field, but off it too.”
