According to the New York Post, Jets coach Robert Saleh sidestepped Reddick’s absence on a Tuesday morning conference call . Philadelphia didn’t appear to miss him completely Friday night in a 34-29 win over Green Bay in Brazil, though their pass rush ranked 22nd in the NFL through the first game, according to Pro Football Focus. There’s more room for defensive improvement when the Eagles meet Atlanta Monday night, when you consider they allowed 7.1 yards per play vs. the Packers, tied for the most in the league in the first weekend. The Texans and Ravens also allowed at least 7 yards per play in the past week.

The Jets’ pass rush ranked 26th after one game, though perhaps there’s more to their struggles than missing Reddick, especially when Niners’ reserve Jordan Mason put up Christian McCaffrey-like numbers with 28 carries for 147 yards and a score.
The Eagles sent Reddick to the Jets last spring for a conditional third-round pick. He then requested another trade during August as part of his holdout that’s kept him away from all of training camp.
