Earlier today, we covered a report from Brazil which explained the midfielder, who is set to sign for Wolves tomorrow, had gone to Fluminense’s training ground to say goodbye to teammates and staff.
That prompted lots of tears, as friendships built over years fighting to get to the top of Brazilian football got ready to be conducted long distance instead of being together daily. After that, André travelled to the airport. And that meant more tears, both from the player and his wife. His toddler son also had a bit of a moment when the player was being interviewed, and André scooped him up in a heartwarming moment.
As part of his chat, he was asked if he thinks he should have moved a year ago, and to that NetFlu quote him as saying: “I don’t regret anything, I wouldn’t trade what I experienced last year for anything, so I’m sure I made the right choice. In the end, everything always works out. I have a huge passion for Fluminense.”
Hopefully he’ll have a similar passion for Wolves.
André is scheduled to take off from Brasilia at 4pm local time, which will be 8pm UK.After that, André travelled to the airport. And that meant more tears, both from the player and his wife.
