In his list of the top five teams in the country, Will Riley, a forward who is a composite five-star and the 21st best player in the country, has replaced the Razorbacks with Illinois. Initially, Riley was presented with a scholarship offer by Eric Musselman, who had previously served as the head coach of Arkansas, but the remaining five spots on his list stayed the same.
Underwood’s coaching team at Illinois includes Orlando Antigua, who previously worked as an assistant coach at Kentucky. The Arkansas Razorbacks are in negotiations with a number of other top 2025 recruits, including Acuff, who was born and raised in Detroit, who is considered to be the best point guard prospect in the 2025 class, and Dylan Dybantsa, who is widely considered to be the best prospect in the 2025 recruiting class. Following his trips to Kansas and Arkansas, Acuff recently claimed that he does not intend to take any further visits. This is despite the fact that his offer list included the majority of the best schools in the country.
Since Michigan and Kentucky have both been losing ground as of late, it is reported that the two teams that are considered to be the favorites in his recruiting are the Jayhawks and the Razorbacks. One of the most important targets for Calipari at Kentucky is Thomas, who is rated as the sixth best player overall and is a consensus 5-star prospect. Thomas is also rated as the sixth best player overall.
