Antonio Rudiger, a defender for Real Madrid, has respected a young player from one of his main rivals. Rudiger praised Barcelona’s 17-year-old sensation, Lamine Yamal, in an interview with Inside Scoop, calling his performances “ridiculous” and acknowledging that the young player’s future appears “quite scary.”
After leading Spain to victory in Germany this summer, Lamine Yamal has been making waves in both La Liga and the current European Championship. This season, he has already racked up five goals and five assists. Rudiger, who was candid in his evaluation, is one of the rival football players who admire the winger’s skill despite the fact that he plays for Barcelona. “Impressive things are ahead of him,” he remarked. “I’m hoping he stays well. At 17, he was a player for Barcelona. It’s pretty frightful.” Rudiger’s actions weren’t limited to Lamine Yamal. He also talked about moving to Madrid, calling it a realization of a lifelong dream.
“I was aware that my 2021 Champions League victory with Chelsea was my pass to the greatest team on the planet. Recalling the day he signed a contract with the Spanish powerhouses in May 2022, he said, “I knew I had to take that step, because Madrid doesn’t knock on your door very often.”
The German center back also shared his opinions on Kylian Mbappe, the star acquisition of Real Madrid. “Kylian is a real guy, despite rumors that he might blow up the dressing room. Rudiger said, “He’s already having an effect, and the relationship with Rodrygo, Jude [Bellingham], and Vini [Vinicius Junior] is getting better.”
Even the most intense rivalries can’t prevent players from spotting genuine talent when they see it, especially when that talent takes the shape of a 17-year-old wonderkid like Lamine Yamal. Madrid supporters have a lot to look forward to with their current roster.
