Nikita’s The Women’s Super League transfer window shut on Friday with clubs finalising their squads ahead of the start of the season next weekend. Parris becomes the second member of England’s UEFA Women’s Euro 2024 squad to make the move to the South Coast this summer after the arrival of Fran Kirby from Chelsea in July. She is also the second player to move between United and Brighton during this transfer window after Norwegian Elisabeth Terland moved in the opposite direct ion.Head coach Dario Vidosic told club media: “We are delighted to bring a player of Nikita’s ability and experience to the club. It signals our ambition as a club. Nikita’s record as a goalscorer speaks for itself and she will help us a lot in that regard.”
What will Parris bring to Brighton?

Parris brings a wealth of experience to Brighton, having made her senior debut for Everton in May 2010 against Arsenal. She was named the club’s Player of The Year in 2014 before making a move to Manchester City, initially on loan before making the move p ermanenAs well as two FA Cups and two League Cups, Parris was part of City’s only Women’s Super League title win to date, in 2016. The same year she made her international debut in a double header against Serbia, scoring a brace in the second game.
In 2019, she was named Football Writers’ Association Player of The Year. That would prove to be her final season in the blue half of Manchester before joined French giants Lyon. She spent two years there, winning the treble, before returning to England with Arsenal in 2021 before being on the move again a year later to join Uni ted.
