One of the best defensive lineman in the United States has made a commitment to attend the same school as his older brother, who plays guard. This past Monday, Andrew Maddox, the younger brother of AJ Maddox, the true freshman quarterback for Ole Miss, made the announcement that he will be attending Ole Miss university. Andrew Maddox is a four-star prospect who is ranked as the No. 22 defensive lineman in the country and the No. 7 player from the 2025 class at Magnolia State University. A graduate of Oak Grove (Miss.) High School, the 6-3, 265-pounder is a former student.
The Southeastern Conference (SEC) programs Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt all made offers to Maddox, but he ultimately decided to attend Ole Miss. A number of other schools, including Ohio State, Colorado, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Louisiana Tech, Louisville, Southern Miss, and Akron, extended offers to him as well.
“It’s a special place, and I love the atmosphere at Ole Miss,” according to Andrew Maddox, who was interviewed by Inside the Rebels. When I go to that location, the coaches are really friendly and accommodating. They make me relax and feel at ease. Here at Ole Miss, my brother is a student. Whenever I go down there, I always have a good time. It’s a good time. I absolutely adore being at Oxford at this very moment.
